Japan recognized by Guinness Having world’s smallest Park

Most parks in the world feature plenty of green open spaces, man-made lakes, fountains, and maybe a nice bench to sit on and take in the views. But that doesn’t make Japanese “pocket hype” go further.

In Japan, they actually released the smallest park in the world! Which is wicked cool!

The new record is small! The town of Nagaizumi in Japan said that securing a Guinness World Record was a way to boost local pride. Making their district an more attractive part to visit.

The district is Suntō, the Prefecture is Shizuoka, and the Region is Chūbu Tōkai. The location is west of Tokyo.

Measuring a mere 0.25 sq m, this unique pocket patch of green installation in Nagaizumi in Japan has officially been crowned the world’s smallest park by Guinness World Records on 25 February this year, but today is the first time I’ve come across the news on YouTube.
