Not since 1964 have we been able to see such a large moon darkened. Next chance comes first in 18 years.
Here is our pictures before and after the supermoon
When super moon and total lunar eclipse occurs simultaneously called the phenomenon a bit informal for super lunar eclipse. Such is not often seen in Norway. The last was in 1982, but it was not as big as the one we saw on Monday night.
When could you have seen it?
Between the hours of 4:11 and 5:24, it was possible to see the very rare lunar phenomenon over Norway.
What is a Super Moon?
A super moon is when the full moon occurs while the moon is at the point in its orbit that is closest to Earth, so the moon looks larger. Total lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth and Moon are aligned and the moon is in the very shadow of the Earth, so that most of the sunlight does not reach the lunar surface.
So, the next chance to see it is in 18 years. Distrita hopes to cover it also in 18 years.
