Sunrise 8.39 (8.39AM) – Sunset 15.30 (3.30PM)

In the wintertime, you can do a lot in Oslo, but you can also witness some of the most intense sunrises in the world in the capital of Norway. When the sunrise starts at around 7.30 in the morning and lasts after 8 o’clock in the morning, it creates these very nice colors on the sky early in the morning when the temperature is below 0C.

Looking at the sky at this time it can look as if the sky is burning. In the winter months, Oslo doesn’t get totally dark but the city got 4-5 hours of daylight.

Sunrise Morning Flame in Oslo Norway

The magical moment of a flame sunrise like this is happening when these partly cloudy skies have enough clear sky to let sunshine through. Also because of the icy temperature, ice crystals help make the magic even more magic I think.

What sort of sunrise do you love the most?
