London’s District Line trains on Isle of Wight

There’s no overhead power at all used by the Class 484 ‘D Stock’ trains. They still use the 3rd power rail system for powering the trains.

On November 1st, 2021 the new Class 484 ‘D Stock’ trains that have come from the Underground District Line is now used on the Island Line that is a short but important railway line on the Isle of Wight. All of the trains are converted by Vivarail which also converted other same types of trains to diesel type of trains too, but on the Isle of Weight, they are fully electric.
