It’s just amazing when developers keep pushing the golden aged computers such as Commodore 64. Here is a person that has released an idea for a Pseudo mode7 racer for it. Pseudo mode7 is a graphics mode on the Super NES video game console that allows a background … setting a different transformation matrix for each scanline. In this way, pseudo-perspective, curved surface, and distortion effects can be achieved. And now this is available soon for Commodore 64 too!
I must say that I am blown away! This concept demo engine is running on real Commodore 64 with Easyflash cartridge (which banks in up to 1MB of read-only memory without own external computing capabilities).
