For almost exactly a year ago, Opera Software which is located in Oslo, Norway. Released a new version of its browser, which represented a massive change for the product. Opera’s own rendering engine, Presto, fell away, and the new version built on the open source Chromium project, Google’s engine Blink replaced the old.

The new Opera lost lots of great classic functionality in the process, and many noted that the Linux version was not updated.

So now a developer version can be downloaded.
