Wings Remastered

Wings Remastered Preview Review on MorphOS

I remember this game a lot. It was really one of my favourite Cinemaware games for the Amiga. This game had lots of challenges due to its change between a topdown shoorter and a flight simulator arcade game. The plot was also very cool because of the way Cinemaware did it with old film alike message boards. The game runs smooth on my MorphOS test machine. Even in 1920×1080 the developers have managed to give Wings Remastered great 3D graphics with atmospheric surroundings and gameplay. The music also works and fits into the remastered gameplay. Only thing that I found a bit odd is dark airoplanes. I really hope that Cinemaware will fix this issue before the official release in February 2016. Also there are some minor bugs in the menus. This demo is fully playable, although a bit too short before the commercial pops up.

Worlds best World War I game

Wings is a very interesting World War I video game. The game was originally released for the Amiga in 1990 and was later ported to the Game Boy Advance as Wings Advance in 2002. The game is based on a silent movie done in 1927, just that the plot in this game is quite different.

The original Wings for Amiga is considered by many people as one of the best games in history. Now the remake titled Wings! Remastered was released in 2014 and 2015 for the Windows, MacOS, Android and iOS platforms. But in 2016, AmigaOS 4, MorphOS and AROS will get a version also because of a kickstarter. Distrita have paid for one copy, that we will do a full review on when it hits Distritas office.
