Things are happening at Japan Airlines from the 1st of October 2020. From that day, the Japanese airline drops to say “ladies and gentlemen” on both planes and airports.

“We have been promoting diversity in society since 2014, and this is one of the measures we take to treat everyone equally, no matter what gender identity they have,” Yutaro Iwasaki, JAL’s press officer, told CNN.

Its great to see Japan moving forward. In the Nordic countries this is something that’s been removed many years ago. We should all look at people as humans and not divide people into groups of ladies, gentlemen, black and white etc. Japan Airlines is moving on. So when you travel with them, things changed in 2020 for the better.
