The German part of TUI is now allowing people from Germany to travel to the Canary Islands according to the Preferente website. The Wuhan Covid-19 virus is also present at the Spanish islands beside Morocco but the German TUI says that this is a choice that people can do.
The Canary Islands is located near Morocco as you can see on the map above. The islands got very different climates with La Palma, La Fontera, Tenerife and Gran Canaria islands to have lots of variation of forests and mountain type landscape. Since these islands are near the Sahara desert on the African continent. Tenerife and Gran Canaria have northern western parts that got more rain, while the southern eastern parts are very dry. On Gran Canaria you even find a desert.
Fuerteventura is the island that is closest to the African continent. So this one is very dry and its a very interesting island to visit. The landscape here is like on the planet Mars in many places. Once the Wuhan Covid-19 virus is a less threat. Visiting this part of the world is a great idea. All year there is always something to do on these islands. Except for a few mountain peaks that can get snow in the wintertime, the temperature is around 20 to 30 celsius which is pretty nice.
No restrictions against travelling for tourists in Germany
Marek Andryszak at the German TUI company has said in lots of news programs on TV and on-line that German people can decide themselves if they are healthy enough to travel. But that they should all know that when returning to Germany they all have to go through quarantine rules there.
The fact that tourism is now almost none existing in the world is a tragedy for the many countries that are living because of it. In Norway however, TUI is not doing the same as in Germany. Here TUI got no plans to take sun hungry people to the Canary Islands yet. They are following the restrictions to the Norwegian UD political decisions and once the travel restrictions get lifted. TUI in Norway will be ready to get Norwegians to their favorite destination which is the Canary Islands also.
