Mozilla and Firefox is struggling in the browser market. Microsoft puts black screens on Firefox etc. And today it is clear that they also lays down Firefox OS.

Should be built into routers
It’s Mozilla’s “Connected devices” group that was responsible for Firefox OS, and attempts to embed the OS in devices such as routers, pouring cans and simple computers.

Mozilla’s federation has around 1,000 employees, so it is not such a big organizational move – and Firefox OS struggled a lot and never took off.

Never took off as it should
Firefox OS was never built into the phones as it was ment to in the start, and the biggest success of the system was when it was built into a 4K TV from Panasonic.

Mozilla said, however, when it was the commercial partner, ie Panasonic, and not Mozilla would manage the project.

Mozilla still earns money
Although Mozilla struggling with new technologies and is low in market share among browsers, they still got the finance in the positive direction. The latest tax forms show that they had a turnover of 3,368 million last year, coming mostly from the partnership with Yahoo in the US, Yandex in Russia and Baidu in China. It is sad though, that 50 developers lose their jobs because of this. If Mozilla still earns, why not give these developers other jobs in the company? Whats up with this world and just lose peoples lifes?
