Ladies and gentlemen. Funcom is back. The company behind Conan PC game! A Norwegian game developing company is now developing Mutant Year Zero that is a post-apocalyptic game with a setting in Sweden. My fellow readers. We finally have a Swedish post-apocalyptic game. Isn’t that neat?
Funcoms new Mutant Year Zero will be out for PlayStation 4, XBOX ONE and PC
Today, Funcom announced a totally new game on their site for PlayStation 4, XBOX ONE and PC. Mutant Year Zero Road to Even is in a post-apocalyptic world. The game is based on the Swedish “Mutant” role-playing game from 1984 which is set for a post-apocalyptic Sweden. In this role-playing game, the campaign setting was very similar to Gamma World, taking place hundreds of years after a big catastrophe. The world is populated by humans, robots, and mutants (including anthropomorphic animals).

Tactical adventure game with turn-based elements from Funcom this Year
«Mutant Year Zero: Road to Even» is the full title of the game and it is described as a tactical adventure game combining turn-based war as XCOM with exploration and sneaking. The action is set after an atomic war as in the role-playing game where the whole earth has been wiped out.
Funcom writes in their press release that they released today about Mutant Year Zero that people are gone and mutants have taken over. It will be really interesting trying this game out. The cinematic trailer is indeed getting me interested. There is a very nice atmosphere to it all. Maybe this will be a game that Funcom can finally get the sales that they need to survive?
Mutant action in Mutant Year Zero
The mutant actions seems to be centered around the characters Dux (and), Bormin (wild boar) and Selma with each of their characteristics and adaptability. Behind the developers packages, Swedish Bearded Ladies consist of employees who have worked with games such as “Hitman” and “Payday”. This game got me intrigued. It got me interested and We really hope that the whole game will deliver. It must!
The game will be released later this year for PlayStation 4, XBOX ONE and PC.
