On the south shore of the Tagus River (south of Lisbon), there is a light-rail network operating mostly on separate right-of-way was built. It’s connected with ferries to Lisbon. The name of it is Metro do Sul do Tejo and it is amazing.
The Metro do Sul do Tejo system was completed on the 27th of November 2008, with the opening of the Cacilhas leg through the Almada town center. So, if you want to explore more of the Lisbon area and want to see the south part of the Tagus River, then this network is a worth visit.
