With the tram boom going on in the world, its really nice to see that Lund in southern Sweden is now focusing on tram. Until now only Stockholm, Gothenburg and Norrköping got trams in the land where IKEA, Volvo and the dish pytt i panne is from.
From Lund C to ESS
The first tram line will run from Lund center, bypassing the hospital University, LTH, Ideon, Höjdpunkten, Solbjer, Brunnhög center and will end at Science Village.
This is a refreshing start for southern Sweden, that got multiply issues regarding transport solutions. Malmö, which is the 3rd largest city in Sweden got no trams at all! Landskrona in the region, does have a trolleybus line though.
