Cranberries are small, red berries, and mainly grow in the cooler regions of the world such as Canada, the United States and Europe. They have a tart taste to them, but they are loaded with antioxidants and many essential nutrients. There are many health benefits of cranberries, and you can make them a part of your daily diet by eating the whole berry, drinking the juice, or taking a supplement. Here is a great way to drink our very special cranberry juice:
You will need:
2 cups water
1 tbsp lemon
4 cup fresh cranberries
1 cup granulated sugar
Directions
1) Add your water, lemon juice and cranberry juice to your blender & blend for 2 to 3 minutes or until a thick liquid is achieved – with no chunks.
2) Next, place your blender or a lidded container with the juice in it, in the refrigerator and allow it to steep overnight. In the morning remove the container, and strain the cranberry juice using a fine mesh strainer into a saucepan (medium) Throw out any solid chunks.
3) Next, add your sugar (1 cup) to the saucepan and heat to medium for 1 to 2 minutes – or until the sugar is dissolved.4) Next remove your saucepan from the heat and add 1 cup of cold water. Depending on your taste you can add more or less. (Less water will give you a sweeter cranberry juice)
5) Next, pour into a pitcher of your choice to chill in the refrigerator, and enjoy!
