From 150 to 600 kilometers With biking roads wanted in Oslo

Oslo, Norway: Today Oslo municipality launches a proposed cycling strategy for the period 2015 to 2025. Goal is to get twice as many in the capital to ride.

While Denmark, Netherlands, Germany and even Sweden have their cities full of biking roads. Oslo which is capital of worlds 6th richest country in the world, struggles giving its citizens the biking roads it needs to have for traffic not to have fatilities in the traffic. It is more safe to bike in Pyongyang than in Oslo because of less traffic. Oslo is increasing in size very fast.

The goal now is to increase by 16%. Today there are just over 150 km of cycle paths in Oslo. In the new strategic plan 600 kilometers of cycle paths by 2025.

Distrita will follow this and see what happens. More of biking roads is better!
