3-year Corona break
The 9th TRAM-EM will be taking place on May 21, 2022, in Augustusplatz, in the heart of Leipzig, Germany. Last event that I covered happened in Tenerife in 2017. Now the updates regarding TRAM EM will improve.
This European Tramdriver Championship 2022 will be an amazing event that you don’t want to miss. In this event tram drivers from all over the world meets up and challenge their tram driving skills.

Finally, it is possible to have some fun in Europe again after the pandemic that hit the world. TRAM EM started up in Dresden in 2012. Then this tram competition moved on to Budapest in 2013, Barcelona in 2014, Vienna in 2015, Berlin in 2016, Tenerife in 2017, Stuttgart in 2018, and Brussel in 2019 before the pandemic hit.
The competitions are part of a large family celebration under the motto “Diversity”. International catering, live music, information stands, training exchange, children’s entertainment, and much more.
Admission is free in compliance with the current Corona rules.
