As a native Georgian I know a lot about my mother-land so without any flinching I am giving you the list of 5 captivating things to do in Georgia that will lead you to have the time of your life:

What is “Supra”- you might ask. The easiest way to define it would be a traditional Georgian feast. Remember: A country’s food tells you a lot about their culture.

Georgian cuisine is as diverse as the country itself, but we all are united under one thing- hospitality. Traditional food is a part of a country’s heritage and there is no way of fully experiencing any foreign country without tasting signature dishes, especially when we are talking about Georgian cuisine.

One of the most popular dish is Khinkali, meat dumpling as well as warm, cheesy bread-Khachapuri. Each region of the country has its cuisine, so no matter where you go, taste the local food, you will definitely fall in love.

We went to Kazbegi with a guide by car, so we had a great opportunity to stop in the interesting and beautiful places of the Georgian Military Road. Mtskheta and Jvari, Zhinvali reservoir, Ananuri fortress, Gudauri, the Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument, Sno village – we turned the trip from Tbilisi to Kazbegi into an adventure.

Locals have been using the traditional method for centuries which involves pressing the grapes and pouring the juice into the Qvevri (clay storage) which is sealed and buried in the ground so the wine can ferment for five to six months before being drunk.

Wine truly is inseparable component of everyday’s life all over the globe, but it holds special place in lives of Georgians. Leaving the birthplace of wine without giving a taste to it would be like going to Paris without seeing an Eiffel tower.
