It seems like Samsung has not given up their own operative system, Bada. Their first big upgrade, Bada version 2.0, is expected to be realesed this summer. For a long time nobody knew if Samsung only would upgrade their newest Wave phone, Wave 2. But now they have confirmed that also Wave 1(S8500) will get the same update. We think it is smart by Samsung to take good care of their reliable bada users. To let Bada grow, they need to update all existing phone with new firmwares. The competition from Android and Apple is huge and Bada will never be more than a good number 3. Of course, there is also Windows Phone 7 and Meego out there. What we like with Bada is that they really dare to challenge the big operative systems that already is out there. Bada 2.0 will give enhanched multitasking, push notification messages, NFC support, Wi-Fi Direct, FlashLite 4 support, Flash-based interactive lock screen, text-to-speech and speech-to-text, HTML5 and more.
