The new Star Wars is really Star Wars

Distrita looks at the newest Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens movie, which had premiere on 13th of December. Today on 21st of December the Distrita team went to the Klingenberg cinema in Oslo for an evening with entertainment. Warning! Spoilers alert. This movie review contains spoilers.

The Film

Luke Skywalker has vanished. In his absence, the sinister FIRST ORDER has risen from the ashes of the Empire and will not rest until Skywalker, the last Jedi, has been destroyed.

With the support of the REPUBLIC, General Leia Organa leads a brave RESISTANCE. She is desperate to find her brother Luke and gain his help in restoring peace and justice to the galaxy.

Leia has sent her most daring pilot on a secret mission to Jakku, where an old ally has discovered a clue to Luke’s whereabouts….

The Experience

From the moment this Lucas Arts (Disney) started up. I feared to see the Disney intro, but that never happened. Instead, this movie followed all of the other Star Wars movies with the rolling intro yellow text with the very known Star Wars intro music. People in the cinema hall clapped when it came and from that moment Star Warce Episode VII The Force Awakens movie did actually set the standard for the whole movie.

You find new people, new robots, new planets and a new death planet. But you also meet Harrison Ford yet again together with Chewbacca. All of the scenes are well done, but a little touch of Disney humour gave the movie a little funny touch that didnt really break anything within the movie. The only downside in this movie is that Hans Solo which is played by Harrison Ford dies too fast in my opinion. Harrison Ford does an extremely good job, which lifts the movie a lot. So, except for this, Star Warce Episode VII The Force Awakens movie is an extremely nice movie.

Now I wonder what happens in the next movie. Where will the Star Wars movies go.
