The 5 most Loved cartoon Intros from 80’s Revealed

For over 26 years ago, the 80’s era slowly ended as 1990 fashion took over. But what most of us didn’t understand in the 90’s was how fantastic the cartoons from 1980s were. Now in 2016, no one except for Japanese anime cartoon makers makes awesome intros. There is something with American quality that is just totally gone because of the Commercial madness happening over there. Even if most of this list is made by Shuki Levy, they present the music style that.

Our verdicts of all these 5 most loved cartoon intros from 80’s is based on 14 days of huge test listening and Nostalgia vibe feelings. So, here we go thru The 5 most Loved Cartoon Intros from 80’s. A list that will put you into Nostalgia mode in just seconds. Don’t blame us if you get hooked! Because that happened to us.

1. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Comment
This amazingly made cartoon from the 80’s got one of the era’s most amazing soundtrack from Shuki Levy. The intro is so powerful that it pulls you into the show like no other cartoon really. The singers makes it so lifelike and it puts you to into the mood. Yes, this is a typically a cartoon that was shown together with toys that was related to the show. If you loved Sky Channel in the 80’s, then you might remember that this was shown on Fun Factory that we made an article about here.

2. The Mysterious Cities Of Gold

– Year: 1982 – 1983
– Music By: Shuki Levy, Haim Saban, Ryuji Sasai

Comment
If you love exploration, adventure, action and mystery then this show is for sure one of worlds best ever made cartoons. But this article is not about shows content, but about their intros. The Mysterious Cities Of Gold intro is gold and must be seen. The International one is simply the best one we think. There is also an excellent Japanese version that is also very good, but its not so much known outside of Japan. Very atmospheric intro to this cartoon.

3. MASK

– Year: 1985 – 1986
– Music By: Shuki Levy, Haim Saban, Ryuji Sasai

Comment
Many Transformers fans will cry, but we think that this MASK intro is above it. Especially the start with the wire 3D alike part that fades into the cartoon. The intro makes you love the cartoon and it also takes me back to the golden Sky Channel era.

4. Transformers

– Year: 1984 – 1987
– Music By: Johnny Douglas, Robert J. Walsh

Comment
Transformers intro from Season Two of the cartoon puts me into Transformers mood even today. People loved Transformers but they also love them now because of the new movies that Michael Bay have made. These tones put you into the cartoon and makes my cartoon heart smile.

5. Chip’n and Dale

– Year: 1988 – 1990
– Music By: Johnny Douglas, Robert J. Walsh

Comment
A little bit late in the 1980s, but deserve to be put here as one of Disney’s best cartoon intros. It is playfull, got action and is Disney as we all knew it. Many will argue about DuckTales etc, but this made me love this cartoon.

5. Diplodos
