What nutritional properties does pork have?

In addition to its low fat content, pork (like other meats) provides the necessary proteins for muscle development, as well as bone growth in the case of children. In addition, its consumption provides essential nutrients as:

Potassium, which helps maintain blood pressure.

Phosphorus, which affects the maintenance of bones and teeth.

Zinc, which helps protect cells from oxidative damage.

Iron, which helps the cognitive development of children.

Vitamin B1, which influences the normal functioning of the heart.

Vitamin B3, which decreases the feeling of tiredness and fatigue.

Vitamins B6 and B12, which strengthen the immune system.

And what percentage of fat does it have?

Pork contains very little percentage of fat. In addition, 70% of the fat is subcutaneous, implying that it can be easily removed. In total, the percentage of fat in a proportion of 100g is 2.65:

– Polyunsaturated fatty acids of 0,65.

– Monounsaturated fatty acids of 1,1.

– saturated fatty acids of 0,9.

Thus, here we see a comparison with other meat and animal products, most of which contain a total fat figure higher than pork.

Elaboration Pork chops with millet salad:

Prepare the millet salad by following this recipe.
Once we have the millet salad ready, we salpimentamos the pork chops.
In a wide skillet or a grill, we make the chops to our liking. Some people prefer chops well past and others “to the point”.
When we have all the chops made, pour the millet salad in the pan or grill. Skip a few seconds and serve on plates.
We put the pork chops on top of the salad and serve it.
