Hamburg, German candidate for 2024 Olympics
The board of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) today recommended to Hamburg as a candidate country to host the Olympics in 2024. The decision was taken unanimously by the eight members of the board, the president of the DOSB, Alfons reported Hörmann. The final decision must take the assembly of the confederation on Saturday, when will have to decide between the candidacy of Hamburg and Berlin. The decision of the board of the DOSB to recommend Hamburg has to do with the greater popular support there is in the Hanseatic city to the Olympic project. However, before the application is formally submitted the chosen city will hold a referendum among its citizens. (EFE).
