First TV3 broadcast in Norway found. From 1988

Norway, Media: In 1988, TV3 was the first commercial Scandinavian tv-channel available for Norwegians. Before first day of broadcast for TV3 in Norway, NRK (national tv broadcaster) had monopoly in Norway. TV3 started 19.00 (9 pM) and ended around Midnight local time. The channel aimed at showing great entertainment, but also news in the beginning.

The intro song is very entertaining and showed that TV3 wanted to compete with Sky Channel and Super Channel which had big hits in Europe at that time. Shortly after start, TV3 also started to broadcast children programs in the weekends to compete directly with Sky Channel and Super Channel.
