Delicious Atole de chocolate “Champurrado” Recipe

Ingredients for the Delicious Atole de chocolate “Champurrado”

  • 1 lt of Milk
  • 1/2 tablet of Chocolate (45 gr)
  • 1/2 cup Cornmeal (125 gr)
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 gr)
  • 2 cones of piloncillo (90 gr)

Tools for the desert

  • 1 pan
  • 2 Bowls
  • 1 Measuring Cup
  • 1 Cooking Spoon
  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 spoon
  • 1 Grinder (optional)

Preparation

Prepare the Mass

Put in a bowl:
1/2 cup of Cornmeal.
1 cup of cold water (250 ml).

Stir the ingredients of the bowl with a spoon, until a homogeneous mixture without lumps.

If you prepare the mixture with corn masa, you will have to dissolve it using your hands.

Strain the bowl mixture over another bowl, at the end of the reserve.

Prepare the Atole

Put in a pan

  • 1 lt of Milk.
  • 1 tablet of Chocolate.
  • 1 branch of Cinnamon.
  • 2 cones of Piloncillo.

Boil the milk you put in the pan over high heat.

When boiling the milk reduce to low heat and cook the ingredients of the pan for about 4 minutes, until the chocolate and the piloncillos have dissolved; Move constantly.

In the pan add the dough prepared, stir constantly.

Cook the mushroom for about 10 minutes, until the dough is well cooked and the mushroom has a thick consistency; Move constantly.

Discard the cinnamon stick when you finish cooking.
